Brief Description:  Rudder Pedals #3 + Control System Installation #18

Off work today but only got a couple of hours in on the plane. I drilled out the rudder pedal weldment to AN3 bolts (undersize drilled and reamed to 3/16"). Then I sat those aside and riveted the front attach bracket on the vertical stabilizer. That pneumatic squeezer is invaluable.
Then I reattached the horizontal stabilizer, the VA146 center bearing, the elevators, and the F841 control rod. All of this to check the down elevator travel after I trimmed the flange of the HS front spar to allow more travel. Now the travel is 24.2 degrees which is within the 20-25 degree tolerance allowed! Next I attached the vertical stabilizer, before I had to stop at the request of the CFO.
