Brief Description:  Inboard leading edge ribs and joint plates

I set about getting the inboard leading edge ribs installed. They come with no holes so it is up to the builder (just like the good ole' days) to figure out where they go. I put the ribs in place and marked the holes from the match-drilled skins (this is like cheating) so I could flute the rib to get it flat. Next I marked a line on the centerline of the rib flange so I eyeball the placement of the rib so that edge distance didn't become a problem when I started knocking holes in the rib. I put a line on the joint plate 1/2 from the edge as per the plans. Next I put the rib and joint plate on for the left wing and after checking and triple-checking I matched drilled it - came out perfect. I got the right side tweaked into position and triple checked so all I need to do is match drill the spar attach and then started drilling the skin holes. Once the is done I am on to the dreaded fuel tanks. That will be an epic saga to be sure!
