Brief Description:  Assembling the Left Elevator

Up late this morning, for me, at 7am and only squeezed out a little less than 2 hours : (. I worked on riveting the nut plates onto the electric trim mount. I had to dipple the rivet holes and the screw holes along with the nut plates themselves. I used the DRDT-2 to squeeze the nut plate rivets but they were only -3 rivets(small) and I wouldn't attempt this with -4s as it could damage the squeezer. I then riveted the count-weight cover to the skin and then began to cleco everything together for riveting. I will start riveting tomorrow. I "broke" the trim tab skin and fabricated the wood bending blocks required for bending the tabs on each end of the trim tab to close it out - see pics. I am hoping for a "big" day tomorrw!
