Brief Description: Elevator / Horizontal Stab Tips #4
-Attacehd the elevator tips today. Went well. The epoxy did its job and held the reinforcement strips in place. The holes in the trailing edge are too close to aligned and the rivets hit each other so I had to squeeze and shove it in, squeeze and shove it in, which I did on the bottom one since I won't be as visible. Turned out good. I still need to glass over the nose of the horn to encapulate the lead counterweight. -Started carving foam to close out the HS tip, but I don' t the right kind of foam (need the higher density stuff that cuts without flacking vs this stuff I had laying around) - back to aviationdepot.
