Start fill of gap between Air Box and Lower Cowel
To increase manafold preasure and performance Vans recommend filling gap beween lower cowl intake and Airbox. First step is to shape a foam plug (in my case it required me to cut the foam block privided in half and epoxy togeather to make it big enough. Then temporarly adhear in place with auto body filler. Foam will be cut to meet air box with hopefully about a 1/4" gap. Hole will be cut in foam to match airbox plus 1/16". Fiber cloth and epoxy to used to line inside of hole. Foam and filler will be chiped away after.
