Brief Description: Mark 3/8" Down From Top of Paper Clips & Trim
After carefully removing the upper cowl so as not to disturb the paper clips, I measured 3/8" down from the top of each paper clip and made a mark. Then I connected all of the dots to outline the final trim line for the top baffles so they match the contour of the upper cowl and provide a consistent 3/8" gap between them. For now I only marked the left side and aft baffles so I can reinstall the oil cooler without it interfering with the upper cowl this time. I'll have to do the paper clip trick again for the front and right side baffles later. Once the left side and aft baffles were marked, I did the final trimming and deburring of the top edges.
