Brief Description: Fabricate Part 2S Angle - Drill to Parts 2 & 3
It was a bit of a challenge to fabricate Part 2S - the reinforcement angle that will get riveted to Part 2 - the left intake floor, and Part 3 - the left side baffle because of the compound curves associated with the bends in the floor. I had to notch the angle so that I could bend one of the flanges to coincide with the bends in the floor. Again, this was an iterative process to get the bend to line up nicely with the contour of the floor.
Once I had the angle fabricated I measured and drilled the rivet pattern in the angle. I then used the Part 2S angle to match drill the baffle floor and side pieces.
Once everything was drilled I disassembled the pieces, deburred each part, cleaned everything with acetone and then alodined each overlapping surface.
