Brief Description: Trim Part 6 Baffle; Remove Oil Filler Tube
Next I trimmed the aft left baffle - part 6 and temporarily installed this on the engine. This part doesn't fit so well. I'm not sure if it should fit vertically or not but it's currently tilted forward. The other thing I'm not too sure about is riveting this baffle to the corner baffle assembly that the oil cooler is mounted to. If these parts are riveted together as the plans indicate, I'm not sure if the entire 3 baffle assembly can be installed and removed in one piece. If not, the riveting would have to occur while the parts are installed on the engine. This is all just temporary for now but I'll have to really think about that before doing any riveting.
The final task for today was to remove the oil filler tube and cover the hole with duct tape in order to begin fitting baffle part 7. I'll also have to remove the manifold pressure and oil return lines but I'll save that for another day.
