Next I marked and trimmed the lower cowl for the nose gear leg.

I also read an article in the RVAtor about trimming the flanges that fit around the spinner bulkhead at a 45 degree angle on each side to greatly ease the installation and removal of the lower cowl. Anything to make life easier!

Once all of the cutting was done I lightly sanded all of the edges so I wouldn't get cut sometime down the road on the sharp fiberglass.
