Brief Description:  Install Heat Muff and Tail Pipes

I decided to install the heat muff on the right tail pipe to facilitate the routing of the SCAT tubing between the baffle, heat muff, and valve on the firewall. At first I thought the heat muff cylinder were supposed to fit inside the flanges of the end caps. However, the long alignment rods are not quite long enough to do this. The end caps actually fit inside the flexible cylinder and are secured with the hose clamps. I left the hose clamps loose at this point so I can do the final adjustments once the baffles and scat tubing are in place.

Once the heat muff was in place I screwed the two tail pipes onto the cross over pipes. These are ball joints that are held together with a sleeve on each side of the joint that are then bolted together with springs on the bolts to allow the joints to move and flex.
