Brief Description:  Apply 2 Layers of Fiberglass to Front of Canopy

The next step was to measure, mark, and cut the fiberglass/plastic sandwich to size. A large sharpie and scissors worked great for this. The next step was to peel one side of the plastic from the sandwich and apply the fiberglass to the canopy. We used our fingertips to gently work out the air bubbles and to position the fiberglass exactly where we wanted it. We also used the cheap paint brush to tamp out some of the air bubbles as well. The final step was to apply some peel ply on top of the fiberglass and let it saturate. This will reduce the amount of sanding that will be needed before applying the micro as the final step. A better way to handle the peel ply is to just treat it as the top layer of fiberglass when making the fiberglass sandwich as opposed to adding it after the fiberglass is applied to whatever it is being bonded to.
