Brief Description:  Mark & Trim Aft Edge of Tip Up Plexiglass

With the basement warm and me on a roll with plexiglass, I clecoed the tip up canopy to the frame on the fuselage and marked the aft edge for final trimming using the reference line on the rollbar. I also decided to mark the lower aft corners to trim. Many others have done this as well and I can see why. I'm sure the corners would catch on the aft skins from time to time when closing the canopy. This is a very tight fit between the rollbar and the skin for the corner of the plexiglass to fit into. Any slight misalignment or flexing on closing the canopy would catch these corners and I would end up with cracks.Once I had the tip up plexiglass marked, I went through several iterations of shaving the aft edge and fitting the canopy back onto the frame to see how I was coming. I should be able to finish the final trimming of this edge the next time I can spend some more time in the basement and that should be it for the plexiglass work!
