Brief Description: Bevel Edges of Inner Strip; Clamp/Drill
The next thing I did was break out the vixen file and bevel the edges of the inner canopy frame strip. These strips are thick 0.063 strips that need their edges beveled in order to fit nicely within the radius's of the channel flanges. After working with the file for a while, I polished the edges on the scotchbrite wheel. Once this was done, the inner strip was clamped to the inner flanges of the canopy frame channels. I had to be careful to keep the strip pushed down all the way to the web of the channels as I worked my way around from the top center of the out to the ends. The strip wanted to rise, especially around the tight radius of the channels. Drilling the strip to the flanges was a slow process and involved a lot of moving of clamps along the way. I drilled everything to #40 first and then went back and enlarged the holes to #30.
