Brief Description:  Canopy Frame: Drill Aft Access Holes

I started on the canopy frame today. The two aft channels need to have access holes drilled in their lower webs. I measured the position of these holes according to the plans and found that the tooling holes presented a problem. They were off center and would cause a problem for the hole saw pilot bit. I ended up removing the pilot drill bit from the hole saw and mounting just the teeth portion in the drill press. I clamped the channels securely to the table and drilled the holes free-hand so to speak without the pilot bit. This worked out fine. Once the holes were drilled I deburred them and polished the edges with a scotchbrite pad.
