Brief Description:  Drill Screw Holes in Side Skirts for Canopy Attach

The instructions say to leave the canopy installed on the frame and working from the inside of the fuselage, drill the screw holes in the side skirts using the holes in the WD-725 side rails and the canopy itself as a guide. I was nervous about cracking the canopy by doing it this way so I removed the canopy and made a spacer instead. I used the drill press to drill a #27 hole in the spacer and then used this as a drill jig to match drill the side skirts to the canopy rails. I used the back end of a second #27 drill bit to align the spacer to each hole in the side rail, clamp everything together and then drill the side skirt using the holes in the side rail and spacer as a guide. This worked out very well.
