I spent a fair amount of time deburring and polishing the edges of the C-607 and C-609 latch handles, especially where they actually latch and interface with each other. Once this was done, the aft latch was positioned, clamped, and drilled to the lower support angle. Positioning and drilling the forward latch to the angle was tricky. You don't want it too close to the aft angle or it will bind and you don't want it too far away or it won't latch. Once I had it clamped where I wanted it I drilled it to the lower angle. The next step was to match drill the upper angle using the lower angle as a guide.
