Brief Description:  Fabricate and Install Bracket for Primer Valve

Next I fabricated and installed a mounting bracket for the electric primer valve. The bracket is just a piece of 1"x1-1/4" .125 angle. I drilled out 4 rivets from the gascolator firewall doubler and used Cherry Max -4 rivets to rivet the angle to the firewall. I had to install the AN fittings to the valve before screwing the valve to the mounting bracket since the flow through the valve is so close to the base there wouldn't be access to do this the other way around. The valve just screws to the angle with two #6 screws. I used loctite and lock washers to prevent the screws from backing out. I also installed a 1/4" 90 degree elbow to the top fitting of the gascolator and installed a 3/8" brass plug on the outboard side. I'll be using 1/4" aluminum tubing from the gascolator to the electric primer valve and from the valve to a manifold that will then split 4 ways into 1/8" copper lines running to the lower ports of each cylinder. Each cylinder will have a straight brass restrictor primer fitting to atomize the fuel. The copper tubing will be inserted into the standard primer ball-type compression sleeves and then soldered together. The assembly will then be fastened to the cylinder fittings with stainless B nuts.
