Today I replaced the axle nuts on the main gear legs with new Avery axle nuts designed to work with their jack stand. The cotter pins have been installed along with the steel cover straps that will be used to help secure the wheel pants. Jacking up each gear leg whenever I need to do maintenance should be a piece of cake now.
