Brief Description: F705 - Rivet Tip Up Angle & Gusset
Now that the side skins are riveted on it was time to do the final riveting of the F705. The large tip up support angles support the upper corners of the F705 bulkhead. I could reach most of the rivets with the pneumatic squeezer. I couldn't reach the upper/outer 3 rivets on each side though. I debated on what to do here. I knew if I tried to shoot/buck these I would bugger things up. I finally decided to use structural pop rivets here. Once the corners were riveted I deburred, edge-prepped, and alodined the tip up gussets. These were then slid into place and partially riveted to the longerons and to the top corners of the F705 bulkhead. The other holes need to be left open for the canopy side rails.
