Brief Description: Right Step: Drill Plate and Side Skin
Today is Philip's 18th birthday. I can't believe how fast the kids grow up. Where did the time go. In between the birthday festivities I did manage to spend a little time on the plane. I basically started repeating everything for the right step. First I enlarged the hole in the side skin for the weld. Then I marked the step plate for the vertical bulkhead. All of the rivet holes in the plate were then marked, center punched, drilled, and deburred on the bench. The step was then inserted into the fuselage and the holes in the plate were used to drill the holes in the side skin and bulkhead.
