Brief Description:  Rudder/Brake Pedals: Cut/Drill Blocks

The next thing that I did was pull out the drill press and drill the rudder/brake pedal support blocks. I clamped these securely to the drill press table and drilled them with a #10 bit. The center supprt block then needed to be split in order to install it around the tubes. I did this on the bandsaw. The final thing that I did today was remove the the vertical bulkheads from the forward fuselage. I then temporarily clamped the center support plate the firewall so that I could measure the aft most location of where to drill the holes in the side skin stiffeners. This was my baseline for the first set of holes. I will be drilling multiple sets of holes in the stiffeners and center support bracket so the pedals can be ground adjustable. More than likely I will just use the aft holes since I am vertically challenged.
