I decided not to prime the brake pedals. Instead I purchased an alodine pen and used this to alodine any surface the is in contact with another surface. This will provide better corrosion protection than the primer that I have been using anyway. I wish I had come across this pen much earlier in the project. I still would have primed all of the structural parts but it would have been nice to have had the extra corrosion protection from the alodine. The pen makes this process very convenient. Once the alodine dried I riveted all of the brake pedal components together.
