Brief Description:  Center Section - Drill for Snap Bushings

Most of the rest of today was spent locating all of the center section bulkhead components. I did manage to spend a little time measuring where the 5/8" holes go for the wiring snap bushings in the main spars. I'm not sure why these holes were not prepunched. I ended up drilling #30 pilot holes and then using a Unibit to enlarge them to 5/8". Similar holes needed to be reamed to 5/8" on the vertical side sections. These holes were already prepunched and will be used for the rudder cables. For the holes through the spars for the wiring, the plans indicate that you can use a different snap bushing than what ships with the kit if you anticipate running a lot of wiring. The outside diameter of the replacement snap bushing is the same as what was sent with the kit but the inside diameter is larger. This allows more room for the wiring. I decided to order 25 of the replacement snap bushings from Van's. They won't ship for a while though since Van's is in the midst of doing inventory.
