Brief Description: Proseal / Rivet 5 Interior Tank Ribs

With Ben and Matt's help, the 5 interior tank ribs were easily prosealed and riveted in place. This was MUCH easier and MUCH faster than the left tank. For the left tank, it was only Matt and myself working, and we did one rib at a time in my basement - clean, butter, cleco, rivet, repeat. This stunk up my whole house since it was too cold at the time to open my basement windows. For the right tank, we were working in Ben's large 30x40 barn that was heated with Matt's large torpedo kerosene jet heater. Very nice. And no buildup of fumes. And 3 sets of hands were definitely better than 2. And gooping up all 5 ribs at the same time, clecoing them in place, and then riveting them all at once made for quick work. We each mixed up a batch of goop. Then we buttered up the skin. Then the rib flanges. Then we clecoed the ribs to the skin using the cradle. Then we strapped the tank to the workbench to hold things steady. Then we riveted everything on the bottom, flipped the tank over, strapped it down again, and riveted everything on top. Ben did the shooting, I did the bucking, and Matt worked the Cleco Pliers and inserted the rivets. Very quick and very well done. Once the riveting was done, I spent the next hour or so buttering up the shop heads on the rib flanges and making smooth fillets on both sides of each rib using popsicle sticks. A very productive day and way easier than the left tank. Once the proseal cures I will do the interior work which includes adding the fuel vent line, wiring the capacative plates, positioning and drilling the fuel pickup, vent, and sender fittings, and getting everything ready to seal the two end ribs and baffle. I plan on getting this all done by next weekend and heading up to NY again for Matt and Ben's help with the final prosealling session.
