Once the left aileron was bolted to the inboard and outboard brackets I connected the aileron pushrod. I used a straight edge on the outboard end of the wing to align the tooling holes of the wing rib to the those of the aileron rib and trailing edge. Once I had the aileron in its neutral position I used Van's aileron bellcrank jig to adjust the rod end bearings on the aileron pushrod. Once the aileron was rigged I moved on to rigging the flap. I clecoed the hinge of the flap (with the flap attached) to the wing using side grip clecoes and then aligned the trailing edge of the flap to the trailing edge of the aileron. I also set the gap between the aileron and flap to be 3/16", which is just enough to clear the bolts on the aileron attach brackets.
