Brief Description:  Drill Aileron Brackets to Rear Spar

The outboard aileron attach brackets are predrilled along the flange that attaches to the rear spar but not on the side that attaches to the web of the outboard rib. When I trial fitted these brackets to the wing, I found that I had drilled the holes for the wiring conduit too close to the rear spar. The outboard aileron attach brackets covered half of the conduit hole. Bummer. I'm not sure what I will do for the conduit now. This also presented another problem in that the rivets to attach the aileron bracket to the web of the end rib didn't have the needed edge distance from the hole that I had drilled in the web for the conduit. I should have looked ahead. I decided to fabricate a reinforcement plate that will be riveted to the inside web of the rib, in essence sandwiching the web of the rib between the reinforcement plate and the aileron attachment bracket. This should work fine for the bracket. Now, what to do about the conduit...I'll have to think about that one.
