Brief Description: Rivet Ribs to Front Spar - Left Wing
Dad came over today and helped me rivet the left main ribs to the front spar. This took a lot of pushing and grunting to set the -4 rivets. Dad did the bucking and I ran the gun. The outboard most rib was not riveted to the front spar since the outboard most tip rib will need to be riveted at the same time. Strapping the front spar to the workbench worked out great in holding the structure while riveting. All of these rivets came out fine! It worked out well leaving the rear spar off while riveting the ribs to the front spar. This allowed me to flex the ribs in order to reach the rivet gun into place. Once the ribs were riveted to the front spar, I clecoed the rear spar to the ribs.
