Brief Description: Install Nutplates on Left Wing Tip
I went out to the hangar again this evening and worked on the left wing tip for a couple of hours.
First I enlarged all of the #30 holes in the fiberglass tips to #28 for the #6 screws. Then I used a #6 nutplate jig to drill all of the rivet holes. I ended up removing the cage from the microstop countersink since it interfered with the lip on the flange and countersunk all of the rivet holes freehand. Then I deburred all of the holes on the inside aluminum reinforment strips and riveted the nutplates in place with the pneumatic squeezer.
