Brief Description:  Trim Left Wing Tip

Today I did the same trimming on the right wing tip as I did on the left. I used a dremel cutoff wheel to make the final cuts around the aileron. Then I used a hack saw to slice open the trailing edge about 6" or so.

With just the top clecoes holding the right wing tip in place the surface of the wing tip sagged into perfect alignment with the top surface of the aileron.

I redrilled the bottom holes in the fiberglass tip after clamping the trailing edge flush with the aileron and having just the top clecoes in. I'll be using an aluminum reinforcement strip so that should cover the missed-drilled holes on the bottom along with some epoxy filler.
