Brief Description:  Skin Riveted to Ribs and Spars

Once the front spar and center rib was riveted to the skin, the rear spar was clecoed to the ribs and skin. Then all of the rivets along the edges of the two end ribs and rear spar were set. Some of the rivets along the rear spar were tough to set since there was very little clearance because of the rivets that were already set on the web of the spar and spar doubler. I had to use a special yoke in the hand squeezer to set these rivets. The yoke has a narrow tip to reach into tight places. Also, there is no hole for a rivet set on this side of the yoke. The edge is polished and is used without a flush set to set the rivets. There were 6 holes left open along the base of the vertical stabilizer on both sides to attach the fairing later to the fuselage and stabilizer.
