Brief Description:  Primed Ribs and Riveted Skeleton

I was able to prime the ribs this morning. While the ribs were drying, I clecoed the rear spar together along with the brackets for the hinges. The rear spar was then riveted together with the exception of the holes for the ribs using the pneumatic squeezer. I had a little trouble setting the 4-7 rivets with the squeezer since these rivets are so long. I had to use the thinner sets, set the rivets half-way, readjust the squeezer, and then do the final setting of these rivets. Once the rear spar was riveted together, the ribs were clecoed to the front spar and then riveted in place. I had some trouble using the squeezer on the rivets that joined the front spar to the VS-404, and VS-405 ribs. When I gently pushed the ribs out of the way to set the rivets, the flanges also pulled slightly away from the front spar. I ended up using vise grip clamps to bring the ribs tight against the spar after the rivets were set. Then I readjusted the squeezer to set the rivets ever so slightly more.
