Brief Description:  Left: Trim Rear Spar, Mark Bottom Holes

Today is the day! Over the last couple of weeks a lot has happened. Sun-n-Fun with Matt, Big Sur Marathon with Philip, and Daisy, Philip, Heather, and David helping me rearrange the basement so I can mount the wings. They helped me move the fuselage parallel with the staircase. The right wing will extend under the stairs and the left wing into my old workshop area. The first item of business for the day was trimming the rear spar of the right wing. I measured this about a dozen times before actually taking the hacksaw to it. I was VERY nervous about this, given the critical edge distance that must be maintained when drilling the rear spar to the fuselage. I left the rear spar 1/16" larger than called out in the plans just to be safe. I would rather go through a couple of iterations of mounting/removing the wing to trim more of the rear spar than cutting it too short to begin with and not having the 5/8" edge distance required. Once the left rear spar was trimmed I measured 3" outboard of each open rivet hole on the bottom skin. These marks will be used after the wing is mated to locate the holes again to match drill them to the bottom skin of the fuselage.
