Today I wiped the excess Wonder-fil from the empennage fairing and primed with SW 988 self-etching rattle can primer. While the primer was drying I installed the rudder and elevators. This is the first time I've had everything back together after finishing up the fiberglass work on the tips. The primer lines and clearances between the control surfaces and fixed parts of the tail came out perfect!Next I screwed the lower aluminum fairing strips onto the longerons and also screwed the rear access panel covers onto the fuselage.Once the primer was dry on the empennage fairing I slid this in place and screwed it to the fuselage, horizontal, and vertical stabilizers using tinnerman washers for extra support against the fiberglass.
