Brief Description: Sand, Countersink, Fill Empennage Fairing Pinholes
I had a tough time removing the empennage fairing this time around since some of the micro made its way off the Saran Wrap and onto the aluminum. After I popped it loose I ran a 6-32 tap through all of the nutplates on the horizontal and vertical stabilizers to clean out the micro.Next I sanded the micro along the inside edges of the fiberglass fairing, finished countersinking the remaining screw holes, lightly sanded the shine off the exterior surfaces, vaccumed and cleaned everything with Acetone and applied Wonder-fil to fill all of the pinholes.
I ran a 6-32 tap through each nutplate to remove micro
