Brief Description: Drill Fairing to Stabilizers / Heat to Fit
Today I did some more trimming and fitting of the empennage fairing. Once I had the basic shape cut out I drilled the fairing to the stabilizers and fuselage. The front right lip that folds around the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer was the area that I had the most trouble with. I eventually got the heat gun out, donned some gloves and basically melted the area into the shape that I wanted. This worked out very well. All of the rest of the areas fit very well.
Front right heated, contoured, and drilled to stabilizers and fuselage
Aft right trimmed for elevator and drilled to stabilizers
