Brief Description:  Build Up Back of Spinner Area; Sand Front

I decided the best way to provide more of a clearance between the spinner backplate and the top cowl was to build up the inside of the cowl in this area and then to sand down the front side. So, over the last several days I added 4 layers of fiberglass to the inside of the top cowl around the spinner, followed by a fairly thick layer of flox, followed by two more layers of fiberglass. Once the inside of the cowl was built up, I spent a couple of days with a palm sander sanding the front side down such that I now have a 1/4" gap all the way around the spinner backplate and the cowling. This worked out very well and I'm glad I didn't have to drill out any hinges or camlocs to reposition things.
