When I was building the aft bulkhead of the fuselage way back when, I mistakenly deviated from the manual and drilled and riveted the rear tie-down to the bulk-head. Boy am I ever glad that I did that now! It made things VERY easy today! All I had to do was match-drill the lower 4 bolt holes using the holes that were already pre-drilled in the tie down. Piece of cake with the right-angle drill. I can't imagine positioning the rear tie-down in there now, aligning everything, drilling, and riveting that sucker in there with the limited access available at this point. Things worked out much better this way. Once the lower 4 bolt holes were drilled in the VS rear spar, I bolted everything together.
