Brief Description: Install Flaps; Mark Top Skins; Remove
Today I installed both flaps. I bent 1" handles on the hinge pins to help with the installation and eventually be used to secure the pins with safety wire to the rear spars. Once the flaps were on I used an 1/8" aluminum bar as a spacer and slid this along the fuselage skin in order to mark a line on the top of the flap skin. An 1/8" clearance between the flap and fuselage should be sufficient. Once the flaps were marked they were both removed from the wings again.
