Brief Description: Measure and Drill Seat Back Components
It took me quite a while to measure, clamp, and drill all of the seat back components. I can't imagine having to do this for everything in the days when these kits didn't come pre-punched. I'm always second guessing myself on measurements especially. The pre-punched kits are a wonderful time saver! Anyway, I drilled everything to #40 initially. I'll have to drill to #30 but that can wait until tomorrow. It's pretty exciting placing these in the fuselage. I was a little worried about moving the hinges on the floors inboard about 1/4" for each seat back. I wanted to prevent the outboard upper ends from hitting the canopy frame which several other builders had encountered. I wasn't sure if moving the hinges inboard would cause a whole new set of problems though. So far so good! Yippeekaya!
