Brief Description:  Trim/Rivet Nutplates on Capacitance Plat

The plans for installing the capacitance plates indicate that the outboard plate and/or stiffeners needed to be trimmed to provide 3/16" clearance. I elected to trim the plates themselves. Once this was done, I countersunk the capacitance plates to attach the nutplates. But,,,,,big oops here. I countersunk the wrong side. I set these two plates aside and took out the two plates for the right wing and did everything over again. I am hoping the I can still use the first set when it comes time to work on the right tank. Perhaps this will work out ok with the tanks being mirrored images of each other. If not, I will need to purchase two new capacitance plates when it comes time to build the right fuel tank.
