Brief Description:  Install Solder Sleeve's on P-Leads

I purchased 4 solder sleeve's for the p-leads. These are very handy for using the shield itself to ground the mag's by connecting a pigtail to the shield. Basically you just strip the insulation from maybe 2 inches of 20 awg shielded wire. Then you slide the pre-made solder sleeve over the shield and heat it with a heat gun. This melts the solder inside the sleeve to connect a pigtail to the shielding and also shrinks and seals a protectant tube over the connection. Then you trim the shielding from the regular wire from the end back to the solder sleeve, add some shrink tubing to cover everything and you can now crimp terminals to both the main wire and the pigtail that is connected to the shielding. Very nice setup and very convenient. I'll have to do the same thing to the mag ends of the p-leads tomorrow once I have these ends connected to the ignition switch and I can judge how long to make each P-lead wire.
