Brief Description:  Rivet Engine Control Bracket to Center Sub Panel;

I started the day by riveting the forward F-745 engine control bracket to the center section. Then I moved on to fabricating and drilling the C-617, 618, and 619 spacers that will be used to sandwich and bolt the forward canopy goosenecks to. The first step was to drill the top holes in each of the spacers. I did this with the drill press to make sure they were straight and perpendicular to the surfaces. The two UHMW blocks for each side were clamped together while drilling to make sure the holes were identically spaced. Once the initial positioning holes were drilled I bolted and clamped everything to the F745 ribs. The lower #12 holes in the blocks were then drilled approximately 1/16" deep using the pre-punched holes in the ribs as a guide. The blocks were then removed and the holes completed in the drill press.
