After curing the fiberglass rudder fairings, I added a 1-inch-deep layer of epoxy flox to the upper-inside of the fairing to give it some strength and allowed this to cure for two days. After curing, I sanded the hardened flox, especially at the aft ends because once these are installed, you will be able to see part of the inside of the fairings and these will need to be primed and painted. Then, I carefully cut the angled shape at the back of the fairing to accommodate the right and left rudder-swing to the stops.
