Brief Description: Found EAA Builder Center for final assembly & test
Well, I'm finally getting down to the point where it makes sense to line up some hangar space for final assembly, inspection and my Phase 1 flight testing. Several years ago I attended several meetings of EAA Chapter 92 which meets in Orange County but which has a presence at Chino Airport. I remembered that they were hoping at that time to have hangar space available for a builder center, which I thought was a great idea. I decided to check out their web site and it is now up and running. I contacted Vince Orton who was very helpful in meeting me and showing me around. Providentially, a 20' x 25' front space with door access is available. Vince was kind enough to give me first crack at it, knowing that I'm not quite ready -- but soon. I told him it would most likely be January 1 and he seemed just fine with that. It will be nice to have a plane with wings and a garage with cars! That why I keep building.
