Brief Description:  Made cabin floor and began rivet layout

Being 6'6" has many advantages, but few of them pertain to aviation. Fitting in the cockpit of the plane I build is very important, and I know that the 601XL is a great candidate for that. My biggest issue with the three that I have flown is the distance to the rudder pedals. I determined before even buying the plans that I would move the rudders as far forward as possible. Today I confirmed that with Roger at ZAC, and 2 inches seems to be the magic number. Because the cabin floor from Tom Henderson came pre-drilled (usually not a disadvantage), it does mean that I need to make a new cabin floor with adjusted rivet spacing. Tonight I measured and cut my new floor but did not drill holes or make the side bends. Instead, I clamped the old floor on top of the new one, to transfer hole locations for everything except the heel support, the pedal bearing channel and all the holes pertaining to rudder mounting. Only after I have successfully transfered those holes will I bend the sides up 45 degrees.
