Brief Description: Cut out for aileron trim tab and made horn angle
My first job was to make an aileron trim horn angle from 1-1/2"X1-1/2"X1/8" 6061-T6 extrusion. This is bigger than what the plans called for, but it was all Aircraft Spruce had and it was going to be cut down to size anyway. Because of its small size and angles, it was a challenge to cut on the band saw. Fortunately I still have all my fingers! Then it was on to the fun of butchering a perfectly good aileron in the name of improvement. All went well, and I'm ready to place the trim tab/hinge combo and then the actuator and control rod.
