After sweating the rivet-to-bolt situation with my center uprights, everything came out beautifully. I have a real appreciation for the builder community that has helped me get to this point and for the folks at Zenith who have helped me build it safe. Knowing that my life depends on the quality of my workmanship on this part has probably caused me to take longer than some, a fact about which I am unapologetic. Better to take my time now than to find myself second guessing the integrity of this vital component at 7,000 feet. Because I have been building both outboard wing spars simultaneously, I am very close to having all spars complete. The only planned interlude is a three day trip to North Carolina starting the day after tomorrow to attend the Aeroelectric Connection Seminar with Debo Cox. That should be great fun and a whole lot of learning that will come in very handy in about 6 to 12 months.
