Brief Description: Cleaned primer from exterior areas
One lesson I have learned through this process is the importance of reading and thinking ahead. In my haste to prime my skeleton before riveting, I primed everything. In reality, the bottom and top are exterior parts and should not be primed with Zinc Chromate. In addition, the area of the spar from the nose rib to the bottom edge is also exposed. Using lacquer thinner and a Scotch-Brite pad, I removed the primer from these three areas (as well as the bottom inside of the nose rib). If there was ever any concern about the adhesion of the Zinc Chromate, that question has been answered most resoundingly. This stuff knows how to hold on to aluminum.
It doesn't look like it would take much work, but getting primer from around rivets is no fun
