Brief Description: Purchased and setup Ridgid Oscillating Belt Sander
One thing I figured out from the scratch building DVDs was that I would need a few really good woodworking tools to complete the form blocks used in part fabrication. In addition to the band saw (essential) and drill press (also essential), I determined that an oscillating belt sander was a must.
Most of the sanders I saw on Craigslist, and even in the the stores, were incredibly cheap. After going down several blind alleys, I broke down and bought the Ridgid EB4424. What a well-made piece of equipment. Coincidentally, it is the sander used on the DVDs, so I've seen it in action and know how well it works. (Time: 2.5 hours)
