After reviewing my work on the canopy gussets, I concluded that they were too close to the edge. In order to move them over while using the same holes through the longeron, I needed to widen the bottom flange. Reinstalling wasn't that hard, and I'm glad to have roughly 3/16" between the side of the top longeron and the widest point of the tube.
